Front End

Front-ends allow users to interact with Curiosity systems.

Overview

Curiosity Workspaces provides a fully-featured enterprise-search interface, complete with access management, integrations and more.

Curiosity Workspaces can be accessed via:

  • Browser

  • Desktop App (as a connected workspace)

This page gives a short overview of the available interfaces. You can learn more about interfaces here.

Desktop app

The desktop app is a self-contained Curiosity application and is designed to run on a laptop (Win/Mac/Linux), within its own interface. The app allows users to connect and search data on their machine (user guide) and cloud apps. They can also use the app to connect to an external Curiosity Workspace. When a user switches to the external workspace, the app displays that workspace interface and results.

Browser

Workspaces are usually accessed via a browser. Curiosity come with a fully-functional enterprise-search interface out of the box, and depending on your license, can be fully customized. Learn more about Curiosity interfaces. Normal users have access to search, team management, spaces, AI assistant, integrations and notes.

Curiosity also provides management interfaces that are only visible to administrative users. These interfaces are used to configure and extend a workspace, and are referenced frequently throughout this documentation.
